| The Parc Zoologique de Paris is on the southeastern outskirts
of Paris. The animals seem happy and active in settings close to
their natural habitats. Many of the animals have rock
barriers instead of bars and cages, so it's pleasant to view.

The Sitatunga live in the flooded forest of Central and Equatorial Africa

| Axis Deer (Axis axis axis) or Chital
Deer can be distinquished by the white-spotted reddish-brown coat.
Unlike most deer, it has no rut or heat period. It lives in woody
hills and plains near streams and rivers. |

| Flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber) They nest in
colonies in saltwater lakes and lagoons. They build their nests in
shallow water. After hatching, the young are fed by both parents and join
the colony after a few weeks. |

| Reindeer (Rangifer tarandus tarandus) -
Canada, Alaska, northern Asia. The reindeer is the only member of
the cervidae (deer) family in which the female has antlers. It lives
in small herds that come together in spring to migrate from the taiger to
the tundra and back again in the autumn. |
