Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis) - Sub-Saharan Africa on
Savanna.
The Cheyenne Zoo has the largest herd of giraffes in the United States.
The Giraff's tongue is extremely long.
This is a Lesser Kudu. ( Tragelaphus imberbis) The males are
sandy-gray with vertical white stripes. The females are rust
colored with white vertical stripes. The neck has a white mark,
the throat has two large white circular, semi-circular markings.
Mountain Tapir (Tapirus pinchaque) - These tapir live high in the Andes in
South America. Their long nose is flexibile and has many uses.

Okapi - Their closest relative is not the zebra, but the giraffe.
Their tongue is similar to that of the giraffe - long and purple.
They live in the rain forest in Central Africa.
Red-footed Tortoise - This tortoise is found in Panama to central South
America.
Pallas' Cat - Southeast Asia to Western China. Could be the oldest
species of cat.
Siberian Tiger (Panthera tigris) - Siberia. The Tiger is nocturnal
and climb well. They also like to swim.
Mexican Grey Wolf (Canis lupus baileyi) - They live in the mountaneous
area of Central Mexico, Southern Texas, Southeastern Arizona and Southern
New Mexico.
Three Nile Hippopotamus are having lunch in their winter quarters.
Normally they would be almost submerged in water. Their trainer
really loved them.
Hippopotamus can stay under water for up to 35 minutes at a time.
Their skin is up to 2 inches thick. Hippos come from the tropical
park of Africa. This hippo really enjoyed getting scratched on his
neck.
Kori Bustard
Yellow-billed Cardinal (Paroaria capitata). Central
America in marsh lands, river edges and flooded grasslands. They
live in flocks of hundreds.
Leopard (Panthera pardua) - Asia: Siberia to Korea, Sri
Lanka and Java, Middle East and Africa. This leopard has a long body
with rosette-shaped black spots on a tawny, or yellowish buff colored
fur. Sometimes black leopards are born (called panthers) with spots
hardly visable.
Snow Leopard (Uncia uncia) - Pakistan, Afghanistan, Himalayas, East of
China on the mountain slopes and forests. Look at the length of that
tail (3 feet). The Snow Leopard can leap over ravines with their
powerful bodies. They will migrate to lower altitudes in the
winter.
