Orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus) - Sumatra, Borneo in the rain forest.
The Orangutan has a reddish-brown shaggy coat and does not have a tail.
The long, powerful arms reach almost to the ground when the Orangutan is standing.
Their hands are huge with a small thumb that is opposite to the first finger.
The Orangutan diet consists of fruits, leaves, bark, shoots and flowers.
Orangutan Babies are born in about 9 months and stay with
the mother for a long period of time.
